Outbound & Return: Taxi from the airport to the hotel and explored from there. Taxi back to airport on Sunday evening. Convenience once again I’m afraid…
Hotel
Brody House (EUR140 per night). Incredible place - we stayed in the “Print Room”, which was less a room and more a flat, with a kitchen and lounge area, then a massive corridor leading to a humungous room. The look was shabby chic - unfinished walls, untouched hallways etc - but really worked. Bohemian and comfortable in equal measure. The breakfast was a buffet on the top floor, which was great - and the local printmaking group were setting up while we ate, felt like a very creative space.
Activities
Open top bus tour - naturally, the best way to get to grips with the city…
Danube evening river cruise - this was the coldest I think I have ever been, as we fought the elements and stayed up top in the cold, wind and rain. Not the best, but beautiful sights nonetheless.
New York Cafe - supposedly the most beautiful cafe in the world, and it was definitely a nice pitstop for afternoon tea.
St Stephen’s Basilica - compulsory to get a stained glass fix as always.
